Your Erroneous Zones by Wayne W. Dyer is a self-help book. This book tries to help you identify the erroneous zones within yourself. According to the book, if you manage to omit these erroneous zones, you will be more comfortable with yourself. And also live a fuller, happier and more content life.

Your Erroneous Zones tells you to take charge of your life. It also urges you to love yourself and do away with the need to seek approval. Approval that we seek for any or all of our actions. It challenges to break free from the past and get rid of guilt. The guilt one feels because of the past actions and not to worry about your future. The book inspires you not to be afraid of getting into unknown territories and not to be bound by conventions. Your Erroneous Zones also helps you accept not to expect justice at all times, to put an end to procrastination, to declare your independence and bid farewell to your anger.

Now we all know about these things, don’t we? Everyone has gone through some or all of these emotions. One of the good parts of the book is when the author explains with examples, why we engage in certain behaviors. The reasons behind them and how we can counter or control that behavior.

The last chapter is what I liked the best in the book, it almost felt like a description of myself. Don’t know if every reader feels the same way after reading the book, i.e. almost free of any erroneous zones, or have I managed to do away with my erroneous zones?

The message that I have, similar to what this book is trying to convey is, ‘Your happiness is your own responsibility’.
